Yah! We're happy to announce our opening acts for our opening weekend of Balance:
Young Performers International is a non-profit children's performing
arts company with branches in San Francisco, Alameda, and Marin
counties. YPI provides after-school music education programs
including jazz/rock band, chorus, percussion ensemble, and
individual instruction, and summer music camps specializing in rock,
jazz, pop and world music.

Meklit Hadero is an Ethiopian-born, US -raised vocalist, whose jazz
and Ethiopian roots deeply inform her present style. She has performed
in various configurations, however, she currently enjoys using spare
arrangements, or even singing acapella, as a way of communicating a
certain bareness and intimacy between audience and performer.
She will be joined by Eliyahu Sills on the upright bass and
ney (Middle Eastern reed flute). He has performed with Persian percussionist Shirzad
Sharif and appeared live with his band, Qadim, on KPFA's Discreet
Music Archives with Jane Heaven.

In conjuction with Red Poppy Art House, the think13
Kids Art Festival will be held on March 31st @ 1-4pm. 13 pieces will be selected for a
for-sale calendar, with all proceeds going to The Red Poppy Art House Family Art Program.
Even cooler, two of the child artists will participate in a special effect by
EffectDesign/Kerner Studios for our show 'Balance'.

We have gotten the dates and venue for the new and improved version of "Balance", the
show we did last July at the XenoDrome. We'll post the flyers soon, but real quickly the
dates are:
April 20th, 21st
May 12th
June 29th, 30th
August 11th
Sept 21st
All performances will be at the
Cowell Theatre at the Fort Mason Center. This is very nice space right on the water
(on the pier in fact). Check out shows for the official listing.

We spent a couple more days at The Plant mixing the
stuff we recorded a few weeks ago. Arne, Mari and Mike were super-cool about our project
and spent a lot of time making sure we were happy with the results. We are astounded and can't
thank them enough for their time and love. Now to finish the packaging. Oh yeah, and
maybe sell a few... Photos in images.

This week we're in the legendary (infamous?) Plant Studios in Sausalito recording the first album (woo hoo!). Thank you to the stars that aligned to have us record in the same place as Metallica, Dave Matthews, Sammy Hagar, Fleetwood Mac, Huey Lewis, etc, etc, etc. We'll take some pictures of the week and post them soon.

Finally got around to posting some pictures from "Balance", our show advertised below. It was an AWESOME success, thanks
to the friends, fans and family that came and got to experience it. We got a lot of great feedback, enough that we will
try to do the show again before the end of the year (shhhh! it's a secret!). Huh, look at that, I updated the site on the
13th of August. Eerie how often it comes up.
Dee has an art show at Cafe La Boheme

NEWS FLASH! Bob is leaving the band. Citing creative differences and that "Christoph is too demanding on my musical skills", he has decided to pursue a career
as a French mime. Since he will be difficult to replace, you can expect that he will still play the next few shows while
the band searches for new players.

After a visit to last Saturday's "Indie Night School" at The Makeout Room, we've changed some small things about the site. Thanks to Tom
for getting in touch with us about it. We got some good feedback, learned some great stuff about bookers and reviewers and got to hand out
some low-tech press kits.
